Getting fit, feeling fab and having fun!

22nd Jan 2018 Newsletter

Fantastic to welcome so many new and lovely people to our growing Norfolk Nordic Walking community. We’ve been having great fun on all our walks whilst burning calories and having lively chats at the same time. Definitely the common thread linking us all together is our love of the outdoors and our love of laughter. Nordic walkers have FUN! We’ve come up with ideas to create a Nordic pole that can turn into a selfie stick (Dragons’ Den anyone?), discussed all ranges of topics from the latest in mud proof gaiters to the ethics of queuing etiquette in London vs Norwich and just about everything in between! Particularly popular are the walks that end with food and drinks and that is what Nordic walking is all about! It’s a fabulous exercise that makes those endorphins go wild, it generates a sense of Feel Good – even in the rain, (yes, even in the rain!) and it’s sociable, friendly and diverse. Mix up your walks and you’ll meet new faces who soon become new friends!

Nordic Walks with delicious benefits…
Fancy a mid -week social? How about our 6.30pm Wednesday Night Walk – which starts and ends in the Eagle pub?

Love those walks which are breath-taking at any time of the year? Blickling is a Wednesday weekly winner for those who like to soak up views. (Ask Rebecca about available spaces in her car for a free lift so we can make this an eco-friendlier walk!) Join us and then devour a treat in Muddy Boots Cafe!

Dive into the gorgeous Eaton Park Cafe after our Tuesday 1.15pm walk and also after our Feel Good Friday 12pm walk. We love their tea cakes, cheese scones and bacon & avocado butties. YUM!

Come along for our Saturday Adventure walks and enjoy Rebecca’s Camomile Tea! (Alternatively, bring your own if that does not float your boat!). Also look out for the Adventure Walks which will end in a pub for a sociable spot of lunch.

Anyone want a Whitlingham mid-week walk? What times best suit you to Nordic walk? We try to offer a varied schedule with locations in and around Norwich, but these are dependant on YOU! To build up a walking community, we want to walk in places you love and enjoy and at times that best suit you.
YOUR FEEDBACK MATTERS so we can try to ENSURE we are on track in creating a positive, welcoming outdoor fitness club.
