No matter if your goal is to attend weekly Park Runs or complete a 10K,  there’s something about taking part in an organised event with other people that is really exciting. These are the milestones in your fitness  journey that you remember forever, and keep you coming back for more.  Ask any marathon runner about post race blues – wanting to do it all over again as they miss the focus and drive that took them there in the first place.  So, when we noticed that we could combine the thrill of a challenge with a glorious day’s Nordic walking, we thought, “Yes!”

The event?  The North Norfolk Coastal Half Marathon.  13 uplifting miles along one of Britain’s most beautiful coastal paths, from Burnham Overy Staithe along to Moreston.  A marvellous opportunity to participate in an event which welcomes runners and Nordic walkers alike.  Taking part in a half marathon with others is brilliant, there is a sense of camaraderie and being a team.  At Norfolk Nordic Walking, we will walk together, encouraging each other – unless you are heading for a Personal Best and want to go at your own pace. So really it will be like a busier Saturday Adventure Walk with a lunch stop thrown in for good measure!  And yes, there is a great pub at the end too…

Come and get involved with our Norfolk Nordic Walking Spring/Summer Challenge!  The perfect way for you to keep moving onward and upward in your fitness journey.  Each month there will be progressive walks which ‘up the mileage’ and a training programme to follow to keep you on track. Don’t worry if you’ve not walked with us for a while – we’ll put on free technique refresher workshops to get you back into it.
